Coach Shepherdson began her coaching career as a summer league coach. After 7 years in the summer league she coached at Lehi High School for 9 years. She started coaching for HAST in 2005 as the Stingray coach and then moved on to the Dolphins. She is currently coaching the 11 & 12 year olds in the Dolphin group. She really enjoys working with the age groups swimmers, and loves seeing their eyes light up when they start to understand stroke mechanics and start to really swim fast. "When this happens, the swimmers get really excited about swimming and that makes my job fun!!"
In 2021 Coach Suzie was voted AGE GROUP COACH OF THE YEAR in Utah Swimming.

Aquatics has always been a passion of mine. I often tell people that the pool deck is my happy place, or that I work to support my coaching habit. I coached at the high school I attended for about a decade.
My mantra is technique then speed. I want to help athletes set and attain their goals and excel in the sport.
I started my coaching career in the summer of 2011 as an assistant coach.
Achievements:
• 2011-13 Lakewood High School Assistant Coach Division 2 CIF Boys' Water Polo Team
• 2011-14 Lakewood High School Assistant Coach Division 2 CIF Boys' Swim Team (6th and 4th place CIF)
• 2013 Frosh/Soph Girl's Water Polo Coach of the Year (5 and 1 League record, 15 and 3 overall)
• 2016 Girls' Varsity Water Polo Head Coach 3rd Place Moore League Division 2

Coach Jodee started swimming when she was 9 years old. She began her coaching career in Canada at the age of 19. She coached with her brother and then moved to the states. She then took a break from coaching and started back up a few years ago coaching the Pleasant Grove Summer Rec team. She was able to coach all ages and truly enjoys the young group. She loves to see the progress and the steps that every swimmer takes to become better. It is very rewarding.

I
began my coaching career in 2000 when I started coaching with the
Orem Timpanogos Aquatics Club (OTAC). While in Orem I also was the
head coach for Mountain View High School for ten years and started
the Timpanogos high school swim team.
In
2014 my family moved to San Antonio, Texas where I coached for the
Alamo Area Aquatics Association as the head age group coach. We
stayed there for seven years until my husband got a job back in
Utah in 2020. Since then I have been coaching with the
uvrays.
I
am an ASCA level three coach, verified coach with USA swimming. I
also have my Certified pool operator certificate and am a certified
lifeguard trainer instructor with Red Cross.
I
am beyond excited to join the HAST family and i am looking forward
to working with the great culture the HAST team and coaches have
created.

Britt Loose is excited to return to her roots, competitive swim coaching at Hilltop Aquatic Swim Team. After swimming competitively throughout high school and teaching swimming lessons at the American Fork Fitness Center, she started club coaching during the summer and moved into coaching the Sting Rays group year-round for three years after that. She then coached at Dimple Dell for a time, before coming back to HAST. After HAST she landed a job at Google and went corporate for awhile!
In recent years she’s become an NASM-certified personal trainer and nationally-ranked USA Powerlifting Masters Powerlifter. She also coaches powerlifting to youth and adults!
Britt is energized by working with kids and believes that they can teach her as much as she can teach them. She’s eager to help kids grow, have fun in the sport, and attain their goals in and out of the water. She emphasizes that as a coach she is a safe adult for the youth she works with, and that the practice space is also meant to be safe. Bullying and teasing will not be welcome.
